This romantic coffee made the world sit up and give Indian coffee its rightful dues. The beans are literally left open to absorb the monsoon showers to retain their earthy character. The coffee is known for its subtle, soft flavour complemented by a medium to full body and distinct acidity. All these qualities make it a standalone coffee. Coffee beans are slow-roasted to bring out a fuller, more even flavour.

From June through September, the selected beans are exposed to moisture-laden monsoon winds in well-ventilated warehouses (12 to 16 weeks time). The monsooning process involves careful handling, repeated spreading, raking and turning around in regular intervals.

Artisante recommends you buy whole beans and fresh grind the coffee just before making it. If you don’t have a coffee grinder (the investment is worth it), use your normal grinder to make coarse, medium or fine ground coffee by grinding in 3-4 second bursts until you get the desired grind.

If you elect to buy ground coffee, please store in our air-tight ziplock bags in the refrigerator. Our bags have a narrow opening, close tightly, and minimize contact with oxygen even when you pour out some grinds.

Quite balanced, evenly roasted beans

These beans are good, evenly sized, evenly roasted. From the looks of the beans, it seems that quality beans are chosen for this.
