The South Indian Filter is a traditional coffee brewing method dating back to the mid 16th Century. It makes a delicious cup of milky frothy coffee. Pairs perfectly with a Masala Dosa breakfast. 

Coffee: 20 Grams

Water: 100 ML water
Grind: Medium
Time: 12  minutes

Milk: 50 ML

South Indian Filter set  with a plunger is required

  1. Take 20g of coffee powder and place it in the. 
  2. Add 18g coffee powder in the upper chamber of the filter.
  3. Place it over the lower chamber where the coffee decoction is to be collected.
  4. Use the plunger to level the coffee grinds, and leave the plunger on top.
  5. Pour 100ml hot water in the top chamber ensuring the plunger stays in place
  6. Place the lid and let it drip through for 9 to 10 minutes.
  7. Take 50 ml coffee and add 60 ml of hot milk or 50 ml of hot water.
  8. Add sugar to your taste.
