The blend that put Bangalore’s iconic café on the coffee map. Lingering notes of both Arabicas (Plantation A and Peaberry) traditionally blended in South India for Aroma and Strength. Java City became the brewing pot because of this very coffee blend - carefully crafted light roast with a perfect ratio of dark roasted peaberries.

This blend is perfect for the long cup, the southern style cuppa, the coffee to go with a dessert, or those who like rich and mellow flavours. You could also make a mellow cold brew with this, if you like your coffee earthy, mellow and rich.

Artisante recommends you buy whole beans and fresh grind the coffee just before making it. If you don’t have a coffee grinder (the investment is worth it), use your normal grinder to make coarse, medium or fine ground coffee by grinding in 3-4 second bursts until you get the desired grind.

If you elect to buy ground coffee, please store in our air-tight ziplock bags in the refrigerator. Our bags have a narrow opening, close tightly, and minimize contact with oxygen even when you pour out some grinds.

Nice blend

Initial impression after looking at the beans was that the roasting is uneven. However, I realised that there is a concept of post blending (blending after separately roasting beans at different darkness instead of blending first and roasting them together at same darkness) used. Medium roasted beans were blended with few dark roasted beans. It is not super aromatic and flavourfull but I liked the taste with milk drinks.
